The beautiful wedding of Lauren and Richard was held at the Guild Hall, Leicester followed by a reception at Manor Farm in Rearsby. We had a lovely day photographing their wedding from the preparations the day before through to the late night dancing on the day of the wedding. Lauren and Richard did an amazing job of organising their wedding and spent a large part of the Friday before decorating the Manor Farm Barn. The large R & L sign that you see was made by Richard, and was illuminated by lots of LED lights threaded into holes drilled in the wood. You know the feeling when you turn on the Christmas tree lights and they don’t work – forcing you to track down which bulb isn’t working? I was told that happened several times as Richard was making them. Kudos to him for persistence as they looked amazing on the day. The flowers were arranged and bouquets hand tied by Lauren herself. So clearly a very multi-talented couple!
Richard and Lauren tied the knot in the Guild Hall Leicester, a lovely old venue. Everyone then made their way back to the Manor Farm where after some very entertaining speeches and a fantastic meal cooked on site the floor was cleared to make room for a night of partying and dancing! The band, The Swinging Bass, did a cracking job at packing the dance floor playing a mix of old and new tunes – can’t beat a bit of Sax!
Some of my favourite images telling the story of the day are shown below. The rest of Lauren and Richard’s Wedding Photographs can be viewed online here.
