Spent a nice entertaining evening in the local village hall on Friday 3rd February being entertained by the Harby Harlequins as they performed their rendition of “Pinocchio”. This was their 14th outing since 1999 and as usual the Harlequins delivered their seasonal entertainment with gusto and aplomb. The costumes and scenery helped to suspend our disbelief and transport us into a world where the only children are ones made of wood – damn that pesky witch! Thankfully, the acting was not wooden….and the singing, dancing and smattering of cheesy lines kept the audience entertained for the night. The photographs show just how much fun the cast had as well – especially with the traditional end of show “dowsing” of the audience – though due to “health and safety regs” no water was involved…….check out more of the photographs taken of Harby Harlequins’ Pinocchio in our online gallery.
